Born and raised in Chicago, I moved to Harrisburg to get my Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Now, I live in San Francisco working at Moody's Analytics as an Associate Software Engineer.
Early Life
I come from a family of Polish immigrants. My mother came to the states while 8 months pregnant with me and I was born at Rush Hospital Chicago. My family moved around different parts of the city until finally settling in the west side suburbs where I attended high school.
Education
While I always had a fascination with computers, I did not know what to pursue after graduating high school. After taking an AP Computer Science course my last semester, I discovered the power of coding and that I may actually be good at it. Since software development is a rising market, I decided to give it a go.
I decided to make the move to Penn State Harrisburg to pursue a Computer Science degree. The more I learned about the math and logic behind coding, the more I realized that this would be my career. While I worked to master the theory, I hungered to learn practical and modern applications. I attended FullStack Academy Chicago the summer of 2017, a rigorous course that taught me full stack web development using JavaScript.

Software Engineer
I am a full stack engineer that loves JavaScript. I also have a passion for functional programming in Scala.

Moody's Analytics (August 2018 - present)
- At Moody's, I work on cutting edge solutions used by financial institutions to perform regulatory testing and data analytics.
- I am an active contributor to the stack and have delivered several fully tested, robust, and timely features to production.
Tech used:
Angular 7 + NGRX | Frontend |
Scala + Play | Backend |
Slick + PostgreSQL | Database |
Python + pandas | Data modeling |
Also worked with Spark, AWS S3, AWS EC2 |
Cool stuff I did at Moody's:
table_chart Designed an Angular Material form to efficiently render and dynamically validate up to several thousand fields inside of a table.
developer_board Collaborated on a backend and database redesign allowing organizations to partition their workflows within different entities.
description Wrote and tested a Python data transformation model to be used across several applications.

Hackathon Winner
HackPSU: HackHarassment prize. Worked with 3 others to create a VR game that simulates a high stress environment.
Meant for people on the spectrum to use and develop coping mechanisms for the real world.
FullStack Academy: Best Hack. Worked alone to create a Chrome extension that skips Netflix introductions
and credits for you.
YCPHacks: Embracing Aging Hacks. Worked with two other developers to create a full stack web application,
Seniority. The app was designed to help elders find local help in the neighborhood for simple tasks like mowing
the lawn or moving furniture.
Technology Addict
I love looking for the next great tech. I spend time reading up on new updates and frameworks that I could use for my various projects. Some of the things I have experience with include:
- JavaScript ES6
- HTML
- Java
- CSS/SCSS
- Python
- Scala
- C++
- LISP / Scheme
- SQL
- Play
- Slick
- Node.js
- React.js
- Express.js
- PostgreSQL
- Github
- Oracle
- jQuery
- Swagger
- S3
- Bootstrap, Materialize
- Socket.io
- Django
- Flask
- BeautifulSoup
- Unity3D
- Android Studio
App Maker
I am always thinking of new ideas and how to implement them. Some of my projects include:
bouncyboi - 2016
Simple online multiplayer physics game where the player is a circle and gets bigger everytime they shoot another player, while the other player gets smaller.
Tilt2Roll - 2016
3D physics game for android, player must balance their phone while hopping accross flimsy platforms through space.
screenChat - 2017
A basic desktop chat app, with the functionality to instantly minimize the app, take a screenshot of your desktop, and send it to whoever you're talking to.
Memes Against Humanity - 2017
Collaborated with three fellow engineers to create an online, multiplayer adaptation of popular card game “Cards Against Humanity”. Responsible for backend socket design and game functionality.
Activities with Celebrities - 2017
Created and deployed a full stack mock E-commerce website with a team of four developers. Primarily responsible for carrying out front/backend administrator functionality and landing page UI.
Genius Scraper - 2017
Created a simple API to serve song lyrics from the Genius website using web scraping techniques. Used for personal and proof of concept only.
IJustWantSomeTunes - 2018
Made a desktop app to quickly download several songs off of YouTube by just providing an artist name. Used for personal and proof of concept only.

Computer Scientist
I graduated Penn State Harrisburg with a 3.5 GPA and a degree in Computer Science.
Course Work
Penn State truly provided me with a strong foundation on the concepts of Computer Science.
Senior Project
I collaborated with 5 other students to create KittyPath, a Google Chrome extension meant to aggregate all of Penn State's scheduling info into one place. We observed that the current scheduling site, LionPath, is slow and the user must look in many different places to get the information they need. With KittyPath, the user installs the extension, navigates to their LionPath Academic requirements once, and the extension pulls all of the relevant information using a content script. The user can then view their requirements to graduate, look up courses offered next semester, and even get recommendations based on what is available and their recommended academic plan. Users can save courses for later, and have the extension directly inject the courses to their LionPath schedule Builder. Won first place for Computer Science during the Penn State Harrisburg Capstone Design Conference 2018.
